The Floor Coverings, Moquette, Machine Made Carpet and Related Industries Exhibition, as its name suggests, is related to industries whose services and products are associated with adorning the floors of our living spaces. Therefore, in this exhibition, and the design process of the Beheshti Carpet Booth 2023, we aimed to creatively attend to the booth’s floor as an appropriate platform for displaying the product.
Alongside this, Beheshti Carpet, as one of the leading and popular manufacturers, needed a space to demonstrate their interactions with visitors. Thus, the main challenge in designing the booth was to display the company’s product on the floor of the booth despite the high volume of visitors, which made the task seemingly impossible.
Hence, the design team decided to use the reflection of the carpeted floor on the Beheshti Carpet Booth walls, focusing on the exaggerated display of the product and the visitors. Indeed, this technique not only drew more attention to the product but also made the number of visitors appear doubled, enticing everyone present at the exhibition to visit such a unique and unprecedented space.
Moreover, like any other exhibition booth, this booth required spaces such as a showroom for products, a meeting area, a reception space, storage, etc. These areas needed to be transferred to a second, concealed layer within the booth so as not to disrupt the main exhibition space. Essentially, in designing this booth, we tried to create a memorable, yet simple and enchanting space, without excessive construction.
In other words, the design and construction of the Beheshti Carpet Booth 2023 were an exercise for us in ‘building less and remaining more memorable’ but in a creative way.
In conclusion, based on the feedback received from the visitors at the end of the exhibition, the design of the Beheshti Carpet Booth 2023 at this year’s exhibition was recognized as one of the most creative booth designs in recent years of the exhibition.
